Sign up to use the FC Mobile Coaching App!

BCPFA is excited to announce a partnership with Football Canada and Athlete Era to provide FREE access to the FC Mobile App. FC Mobile is a great resource for coaches.

Football Canada is excited to announce that, starting immediately, it’s FC Mobile app will be available for free to many of its members and participants. For the 2021 football season, nine Provincial Sport Organizations will offer free use of the app to their participants. FC Mobile provides personalised support to flag and tackle coaches of all experience levels, reducing barriers for first time coaches. In addition to improving the player and coach experience, the app is a useful tool to help teams facilitate a safe return to football in the Covid-19 era.

In partnership with mobile coaching software developer Athlete Era, Football Canada launched FC Mobile in the Spring of 2020. The digital resource provides new coaches with pre-made drill and practice plan libraries aligned with the Football Canada Long-term Athlete Development Model. For experienced coaches, the app makes practice planning more efficient by allowing them to design their own plans using the content libraries. Plans can then be shared with other team members to more easily communicate in detail what will be happening on the field during practices. In the past year, FC Mobile has been used by 3,560 coaches and 2,100 participants/parents across all of Canada. The majority of app users were in Newfoundland, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.

Bill Johnson, Executive Director of Football Manitoba, says ‘The Football Canada app has been a game-changer for many of our coaches and players. The age-appropriate drills and exercises make practice planning so much easier for our coaches, and they make practices more useful and fun for the athletes. This app has become an essential tool in our football community.’
