Team BC ID Camp FAQs


Can my player sign up for more than one ID camp?

Yes, players can sign up for as many ID camps as they want. All registration is done online at bcpfa.powerupsports.com


How is an ID camp different from practice?

An ID camp is where players are paying to attend to be evaluated by a specific set of coaches. They are given instructions on what to do and evaluated on their performance and how they follow directions.


What are the dates and times for ID camps?

If my player is selected, what are the dates, locations and costs of the subsequent events?

My player received a prospect TShirt at an ID Camp, what does that mean?

A TShirt for U14-U18 ages means your player is invited to our February 17-19 Call back camp

A TShirt for U10/U12 ages means your player is invited to our February 24 Call back camp

My player received an email asking them to attend another ID Camp, what does that mean?

Coaches would like to have another look at your player in action. All registration is done online at bcpfa.powerupsports.com


My player did not receive an email or tshirt, can they still go to another ID Camp for evaluation?

Yes, absolutely. Players can sign up for as many ID camps as they want. All registration is done online at bcpfa.powerupsports.com


Does my player really need to do the PurpleShift work?

Yes. Coaches will be looking at PurpleShift throughout the whole ID Camp process. Showing initiative and putting in the work will show coaches that you are committed to being the best athlete you can be.

My player is only 13, how are they on U16?

To be eligible for National Events, all ages are determined by Football Canada guidelines: 2007/2008-U18, 2009/2010-U16

Some 2010 athletes will also be eligible for 14U Snoop events in the USA depending on their birthdate.


My player missed the ID Camp and I forgot to message, can I get a refund?

No. All registrations and refunds are shut down at NOON on the day before camp.


I waited too long to register, can you just sneak my player in?

No. Registration closes at NOON on the day before each camp. NO EXCEPTIONS


Can I just bring cash and show up the day of ID Camp?

No. Registration closes at NOON on the day before each camp. NO EXCEPTIONS


Can I have a refund?

Refunds requested BEFORE ID Camps result in full refund. Refunds requested BEFORE Selection Camps are subject to $25 administration fee. No refunds for not showing up. No refunds after registration closes (noon the day before all camps)

  • Mar/Apr/May 7on7 & 5on5 (U14-U18) Cross Border ($300)

  • May Team BC practices begin McLeod Stadium

  • July 2-6 Western Challenge (SK) (Cost determined by Football Canada)

  • July 5-14 Canada Cup (SK) (Cost determined by Football Canada)

  • July 19-24 Provincial Selects (AB) ($1800-$2000)


For parents and players: remember, as soon as you walk through the doors of ID Camps, you are on stage. From check-in, to player and coach interactions, to performance, you are still being evaluated.
